SHEIN is all set to make a comeback in India. Last year, the Modi government had banned hundreds of Chinese applications due to the Indo-China border dispute, including popular e-commerce mobile application Sheen. Sheen is a Chinese e-commerce application that provides a great range of women’s dresses online.
However, after the tough stand of the Modi government after the India-China border dispute, various apps including Camscanner, Alibaba, Tiktok, UC News, PUBG have been banned in India along with other Chinese applications.
At the same time, Amazon has prepared a dedicated page for the Prime Day sale. This Amazon Prime Day sale will take place from July 26 to July 27. During this, Amazon has listed those brands for its customers whose products will be part of the sale. This includes Sheen’s products as well.
Experts say that Sheen’s business came to a complete standstill in India after being banned by the central government, but now this company is making a comeback through Amazon. It is being speculated that for Indian customers, Sheen is making a comeback in India not as a separate app but with the help of Amazon India.
It is worth noting that the Sheen app was one of the 59 Chinese mobile applications that India first banned, including SHEIN, TikTok, WeChat, Likee, ShareIt, UC Browser, Helo, among many other popular mobile applications. These Chinese mobile applications were banned by the Ministry of Information Technology under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act in June 2020.
