Mohini Ekadashi fast story
According to mythological beliefs, Amrit-kalash came out in the sea-churning between Dev and Devas, then a fight started between Dev and Devas to get Amrit. Both wanted to become immortal after drinking it. Meanwhile, the nectar of the nectar fell into the hands of a demon. Seeing this, Vishnu became worried that if the demons drank the nectar, there would be unrest in the universe forever. He took the form of a beautiful girl Mohini to get the nectar-urn and trapped all the demons in his form and fed them all the nectar to the gods. Due to which all the gods became immortal. It is believed that the day Vishnuji took the form of Mohini, it was the day of Vaishak Shuklapaksha’s Ekadashi.
